Livestock Policy

Please Note: If delivery is required: 'Livestock Shipping - DX' Must be selected at the checkout

​

We dispatch livestock weekly with DX's livestock insured service which are delivered the next day generally between 9am – 1pm. Our dispatch days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

 

Once we have received your order, we will contact you to arrange which day will be best for you.

Please Note: In the rare case of DOA (dead on arrival) or livestock arriving in an unhealthy condition then these steps must be taken.

​

1. We need to be made aware as soon as possible, and within 2 hours of delivery, with images of the condition of the animal.

 

2. A clear photo of the unopened bag must be taken and sent to us.

 

Failure to notify us in time will void the DOA insurance policy with DX.

​

We advise doing some self research before purchasing any livestock to make sure it is suitable and compatible with your aquarium & tankmates.

​

We offer a 24 hour guarantee on all our livestock.

​

If you are unfortunate to lose any livestock within the 1st 24 hours of receiving then these steps must be followed.

​

1. A clear of the dead stock must be sent to us.

2. A clear photo of your test results must be sent to us. PH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Salinity, GH, KH &Temp (liquid tests only strictly no dip sticks)

3. A clear photo of your aquarium.

​

Every tank’s parameters vary, and unfortunately the life of the livestock is out of our hands once it is inside your aquarium and without the 24 hour guarantee period no credit or refunds can be given for losses as we are unable to test and inspect customers aquariums.

Please Note: All livestock orders must be despatched within 2 weeks from date of purchase. Although every effort is made to keep our stock levels up to date, we also sell the livestock instore so some update delays may occur.
